Paul Gosselin, Sr. has done a lot of things in his life, from digging footings and framing houses, to working a 600-acre ranch, to repairing fighter jets in the US Air Force. He spent 20 years as a night club disc jockey – at night while working as an electrical contractor during the day! Paul has worked in many fields in his 56+ years on earth, but aside from his wife and kids, nothing has been as impactful to his life as his entrepreneurial adventure as a landscape lighting professional. Because he loves it, he still goes to work every day, designing outdoor lighting systems for his company, NightScenes Landscape Lighting Professionals in central Texas.
Paul earned his Certified Low Voltage Lighting Technician (CLVLT) and his Certified Outdoor Lighting Designer (COLD) accreditations through the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP). He also served on the board of directors for the AOLP for 10 years. He has spoken at events in the green industry throughout the United States and in Canada.
Now, as owner of a thriving company, he wants to share what he’s learned about the low voltage landscape lighting business with you. Paul’s varied life experience has taught him lessons that no college or academic institution ever could. One lesson for sure is to reach back and help someone else up as you climb the ladder of success. Paul may not be at the top of that ladder yet, but he knows it’s never too soon to reach out and help others along the way. And, since there is always something new to learn in life, is it really possible to reach the top?
