Where can the public go to get landscape lighting ideas and advice or learn from the pros about outdoor lighting,
besides here on our own blog?
The answer is YourOutdoorLighting.com .
This website is provided by the experts at the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP) to guide the public as they research outdoor landscape lighting ideas for their homes or businesses. It is a new site on the internet right now, but as more of our landscape lighting pros get involved, we expect it to cover just about any speculation the consumer may have. You’ve seen me write about the AOLP before – the not-for-profit industry association that provides service standards and high quality training and certifications for outdoor lighting professionals.
The meat of YourOutdoorLighting.com will be a searchable blog-and-questions driven education section where posts will be written by AOLP member contractors, distributors or even manufacturers. The blogs provided by AOLP members from all over the country will have answers to frequently asked questions about landscape lighting design, installation, repairs, maintenance and even products. Additional questions can be posed using the Comments section. It will also include information to cover queries about certifications and contractor experiences as well. There is also a photo gallery featuring award-winning lighting projects to stir your imagination; and a “hire a pro” area to help consumers find a qualified outdoor lighting professional in just about any part of the USA and Canada.
We’re really looking forward to following the growth of this newly launched site and reading the content provided by professional outdoor lighting companies from across North America. We’d like to encourage you to do us this favor: check it out and let us know what you think. You may even see a post now and then that looks familiar from this blog! What kind of questions would you have? Let me know your thoughts and we’ll pass it along to the powers that be — and we can get the answers for you! Just click here to visit YourOutdoorLighting.com now.
