What is a landscape lighting certification?
Who provides these certifications?
Just like any real profession out there, the landscape lighting industry has certifications which can be earned by those who really want to set themselves apart from the pack. For landscape lighting there are two main types of certifications, the manufacturer’s certification and the national trade association certification.
In this video, I talk about the differences between the two different landscape lighting certifications and why, as a consumer, you should care about those differences.
The NightScenes team has both types of certifications. We are Kichler Light Pros and we’ve completed classes from CAST, Hadco, Vistapro, Unique Lighting, and FX Luminaire, just to name a few. We also have three technicians who hold the AOLP (Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals) CLVLT (Certified Low Voltage Lighting Technician) certification.
In a future video I will talk about the COLD or the Certified Outdoor Lighting Designer certification but this video is strictly about low voltage landscape lighting certification.
