As much as I rail against these PAR well light fixtures, there are a ton of them out there. They are promoted to customers of irrigation supply houses as easy fixtures to install and cheap to purchase or to put it another way, high profit margin products.
It’s basically an old tractor headlight in a piece of PVC pipe. That’s it! The PAR lamp however is one of the most expensive landscape lighting lamps and it has one of the shortest lifespans. This means that they cost more to maintain. Can you say “revenue stream” boys and girls? (Sorry Mr. Rogers, I just had to say that.)
