Austin Landscape Lighting Repairs, One Place We Shine Bright

We receive a few calls a week from homeowners who need low voltage landscape lighting repairs. Some repairs are pretty simple, and some may take a little troubleshooting to figure out the reason for the malfunction. But our years of experience, and AOLP certified technicians help us to be successful most of the time in finding the problems and making the necessary repairs.landscape lighting repairs

I must say upfront here that we only work on professional-grade low voltage landscape lighting systems. This includes high quality fixtures, transformers and accessories made of durable materials like copper, brass, marine grade aluminum and stainless steel, with reliable warranties extending at least 5 years. Professional-grade does NOT include products found at the local home improvement store. To be very honest, those products are just not made to last very long, especially if they are installed using the connectors provided in the kit by the manufacturers. If we were to attempt a repair and got the system to work, it still would not last very long (due to the inferior quality of the products); then, unfortunately, the consumer would think our technicians did a poor job, instead of realizing that the lighting products are the real problem. So, we just don’t work on them at all.

Now if you have a professional-grade lighting system, we are more than happy to work on it — and we can skillfully service every brand of professional-grade equipment on the market (and there are a LOT of them). We can make low voltage landscape lighting repairs on halogen, incandescent and LED systems whether they were installed by us or any other company (or even a home owner) as long as it is professional equipment. We can also take care of any warranty issues that may pop up from defective professional-grade lighting products.

Our technicians also specialize in bringing old lighting systems back to life. Sometimes we can even resurrect a lighting system when a client has been told by someone else to just trash it and start over. We have found, more often than not, that many old systems can be at least partially revived. Maybe we can save the transformer. Sometimes the wiring is actually in pretty good shape, as long as there were good connections made – so why replace it and spend the money unnecessarily? Why not use that hard earned money of yours to add few fixtures here and there to make the overall design look better?

One more thing that we can do is convert an existing halogen or incandescent low voltage landscape lighting system to a lovely energy efficient and maintenance friendly LED lighting system. If the existing fixtures are in good condition, there’s no reason why they can’t be used to house new quality LED lamps. My rule is this:  If I think the fixtures will last at least 7 years, they will last long enough to convert them. Then – surprise! – you have more room on the transformer to add a few new fixtures to expand your lighting coverage, highlight a focal point, or increase the layering to lift your low voltage landscape lighting system to the next level!

Now that you know your landscape lighting repairs can probably be done, why don’t you contact us here to set up an appointment?
